In their effort to combat corruption, governments in developing countries turn to information technology to enhance transparency in decision making. Generic Data Models for Semantic e-Government Interoperability : Literature Review

Interoperability of e-government systems is suggested to increase transparency, efficiency, effectiveness, and customer service in the public sector. Generic data models are often seen as a way for achieving especially semantic interoperability.
